What does the email health check test?

Gmail's 102 KB clipping limit, the preheader inboxes show next to the subject, subject length, spam-like wording, image alt text and https, broken and placeholder links, content inboxes strip (scripts, forms, video), layout CSS Outlook ignores, accessibility basics, dark mode hints, text contrast and a postal address in the footer.

No. The check runs in your browser. The HTML you paste never leaves your computer.

Why does Gmail clip my email?

Accepted Answer

Gmail cuts off messages whose HTML is larger than about 102 KB and hides the rest behind a 'View entire message' link. That can hide your footer, unsubscribe link and tracking pixel. Inline CSS, comments and repeated styles are the usual cause.

Does it work with emails from Resend, Postmark, SendGrid, Brevo or Mailchimp?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Paste the final HTML of any email, from any provider or builder. Merge tags such as {{name}} or *|FNAME|* are left as they are.
