Photos and images

Hero blocks can have a background photo, and image and column blocks take images. Open the image picker and choose one of three ways:

• Search free photos from Unsplash.
• Upload your own image. We resize it for email.
• Paste a link to an image online. We copy it into your account so it keeps working.

Text on a photo needs contrast. Use Darken photo or Lighten photo with the overlay strength until the headline reads easily, and pick light or dark text.

Set the color when images are off: some inboxes block images until the reader allows them, and this color shows instead so the text stays readable. Outlook gets its own version of the photo header automatically.

Describe every image in a few words. Screen readers read it out, and it shows when images are blocked. The health check flags images without it.
